When he came to his senses again, he immediately returned to the temple, and to this day he has remained a faithful member of the order and its leadership.

Today there are approximately 500 or so members around the globe who have done so. There is no formal hierarchy of rank within the temple hierarchy. The congregation consists of the faithful and members of various religious orders, including Buddhists, Islam and Sikhism.

For a long time there was one particular member of the church who had become a close associate of the leaders, and, as he had become increasingly convinced that one day the world would end, he prayed constantly until he came to the realization that his prayers were answered and the temple could no more send him down in the flames.

As it turned out, the temple was the last place that was truly alive.

Since the fall of the mountain on January 3, 2007, it has been widely believed that the world is doomed. Perhaps it will end by exploding on impact with the moon, or catastrophic climate change. But the temple order believes they have the true answer to preventing the apocalypse, and fixing our society as well.
